I have just got myself a 28 degrees credit card from GE, after a work colleague told me used one on his trip to Bali last month.
No application fee, no annual fees, no ATM fees at all so long as you use the ones with MC symbol, no currency conversion fees and the exchange rate was almost identical to the street rate, he said in mid August he was getting close on 10,000 to the $.
He just transferred $$ onto it before he left and drew money out as needed.
I applied online on a Tuesday lunchtime and it arrived 2 days later.
We traditionally only ever take cash but next month I am going to give this a whirl.
