each time we go to Bali, and we usually take a litre in each bag and we always declare it. The declarations line is always short. We just let the customs guy know we have wine in our bags and they are always fine with it. You could take in a 2 litre cask, as we have done so in the past and you can offer to pay extra duty but they dont usually worry about it and wave you on. It is always safe to be honest .
