Have used many online AA for flights and accommodation, webjet, zuji, virgin and jetstar for flights, agoda and bookings for accommodation and if no one has stand out specials or availability for what I want direct with hotel, I love the planning it helps get me through to the holiday so I don't mind taking the time to shop online and travel agents have never quoted a better price and after booking this way for 9 trips in the past 4 years and not once experiencing an issue and spending 90 min with a travel agent to get a higher quote for less impressive flights and accom will continue to book online. No issues changing or canceling as long as the conditions were free cancellation. And agoda has point system that always is a discount on next holiday and I will always be doing that!
