There is evidence that suggests that raspberries do have beneficial effects in preventing some gut disorders.
However, cordial has little or no pure raspberry in it.
If you want to go the raspberry way, get a product with at least 50% raspberry, or buy pure raspberry juice.
Take a bottle of hand sanitiser and use before handling any food and during the day on a regular basis.
This will have a more positive effect than cordials, but although you can minimise risk I don't think there is any 100% magic talisman when it comes to stomach disorders abroad.
