Was out at the Sunday shindig at echo Beach a while back.Everyone was having a good time, drinking plenty and having a bit of a dance to the standard list of aussie pub band stuff from the eighties,Cold Chisel etc, etc. There were plenty of kids up dancing as well, mainly with their mothers.Around 9'oclock the band launches into that crowd favourite of The Angels "am I ever gonna see your face again".Well the half plastered mum's (maybe a dozen of them) whose heyday would have been in the eighties ramp it up a notch and kinda forgot who their dancing partners were.I think everyone knows the alternate words to this song(except all the kids).Song progresses, mums start yelling the alternate words, all kids start getting glazed and embarrassed looks on their faces, kids stop dancing, mums keep going off a bit longer until they suddenly realise en masse who their dancing with.Needless to say by the end of the song the dance floor was completely cleared and there were a lot of contrite mothers sitting around looking sheepish. One of the funniest things I have ever seen.Priceless.I imagine there are quite a few kids still receiving therapy back in Australia.
