in the market for people who want family friendly apartment-type accommodation within a hotel complex (especially for the mid-range / more affordable bracket). I have found it really difficult to find more than a few places in Bali to suit us. We love Sanur & are happy to spend the majority of our holiday there but it is really difficult when there is only one option for accommodation that suits us!

The villa you found (also mentioned in posts above) is the one I was referring to. I wasn't aware that Vila Shanti was small and no certainty of having kids there, will have to cross it off my list now I think :-( Maybe you & I need to start coordinating our holidays so our girls can have playmates in Sanur LOL.

We are staying at the Semara in Seminyak on our next trip, mainly for the benefit of the kids club. It's not ideal in that we will all be in one room, with no separate living area, but thought we'd give it a try (and only going for 8 days so we should be able to survive!!).
