I had booked economy going over and Starclass coming home last August. Got to the airport and wondered why I hadn't just booked it both ways, so asked and got the last available seat for $249 extra - this was from Sydney.
Last trip in March they rang me about 2 weeks before I was headed to Bali and asked if I wished to upgrade either or both ways. Cost me $450 to upgrade for both ways, all paid for over the phone. I can only guess they rang and offered it since I had upgraded the previous trip.
