Yep T/T's are old school now. You can use credit cards at all the department stores and most of the larger independant shops. Most Restaurants, aside from the small local Warungs, will also accept major cards.

You can also take Assie cash, 50's and 100's in good condition are easier to work out the exchange. Go to the large money changers, we use BMC (as do a lot of ex-pats) Don't know where you are staying but it is on the right side of Jalan Seminyak (main Road) just before the Bintang Supermarket at Seminyak. By the way don't be tempted by the small money changers showing high exchange rates, they will fleece you.

Spending is hard. Depends on the type and price of your restaurants, and what type of activities you do. It really depends on how much you want to spend as opposed to how much you have to spend.
