we have found the best place to exchange money before we go anywhere OS is a place in King William Street - just after the intersection of Hindley street as you are heading towards North Terrace (on the Western side of the street)
We find it can be handy to have some local currency before we leave home & this place usually has a very good exchange rate that is not far off what we get locally in Bali,USA or elsewhere.
