I remember my last trip over I was in the middle of the plane going over to Bali and towards the back of the plane coming back to Australia. It was quite obvious how much less leg room we had at the back. Could barely spread our legs open, and the shape of an aeroplane makes it obvious that space needs to be saved somewhere, and the aisles are always the same width. I would try asking for a seat further up the plane if I was you.
