Im heading over in Oct this year and are taking 4 first timers this will be my 13th trip and I cant wait. What I, be doing is a fully packed week for them starting with a trip to the safari park and spending the day there thats great for families and kids of all ages. The next day we will be going up to ulawatu and the garuda park, as there is lots of steps and will be quite warm we wont be in any hurry so we,ll spend most of the day there and then a dinner cruise on the bali hai. If they feel up to it then we probably go out to a bar and take in some entertainment for the evening. The next day we will be going up to tanah lot (along the way up we will stop at some of the villages and have a look at the craftmen at their work, this includes the kitemakers woodwrkers, and a deffinate stop at celuk siversmiths this is really amazing to see how they make the jewelery and ornaments) which is really beautiful at sunset sitting a one of the cafes having a nice long island ice tea and watch the bats fly out of the caves. Day 4 its off to do some swimming with the dophins which I have booked throu baliku.com as there is a bit of a waiting list I believe so you have to book early. Day 5 I,m taking them to carefour shopping centre to look around and get some bargins. And if we,ve got time will be going over to turtle island, which is quite fun going on the glass bottom boat and feeding the fish this usually only takes about 3 hours to do there and back. I pretty did all of this on my first trip plus abit more and was actually glad to be home, but couldnt wait to book my next trip and everyone after that as there is so much to see and do. I now stay for about 2 weeks at a time and still there is so much more that I havent done yet. I have a balinese family that takes care of me when im there now and gets the things I want to buy at local prices as these as so much cheaper than what the tourists buy them for. Over the years of going I,m still facinated with this paradise island and when I leave I cant wait to get back again, Hope this helps you and enjoy your trip :)
