... within walking distance of Novotel, particularly if you head out of the Novotel beach side and turn left, at least a handful within a few metres and then further along, maybe 10 minutes walk, another handful of great restaurants. Queens of India is right down the beginning of the main road, so quite a way away and perhaps on any other day we might have walked it but this particular day we didn't feel like it. So don't get put off, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from :o)

There are a couple of mini marts close by and CocoMart is a bigger kind of supermarket, also 24 hour convenience store - you will have no problem picking up supplies as needed, even daily won't be a problem.

There are a few massage places closeby, if you walk out of Novotel beach side, cross the road and turn left there is Ayuning Massage which is great value for money. Across the road from that is Oky Spa, prices are cheaper here but we only ever had one facial and I thought Ayuning was better. Going in the opposite direction is Rejuvenate Spa & Salon, more pricey but better facilities - of course still cheaper than what you pay at home! If you want to take a quick walk you can continue on past Ayuning and head to Joy Spa (I think that's what it is called) which is a favourite of ours when we stay at Peninsula Beach Resort, it's probably 50 metres or so before that. This is also where one of our favourite restaurants Laguna is, if headed that way definitely stop in for a bite.

There really is plenty of choice and of course I certainly haven't listed all of them, only the ones we frequented.

One thing - if changing money don't change near Ayuning, the man will rip you off! Have a funny story to tell about this later on in my reports.

Oh, and as for the Novotel - it's a lovely resort. There is beach side and across the road they have more rooms and their own pool. There are chairs long the beachfront to lounge in during the day. The pool isn't that big on the beachside but big enough for a quick dip and relax. Chairs in the sun get snatched up quick smart. They have daily activities and their breakfast is delicious! Found their food and drinks a little expensive but then you are staying in a resort and it's far cheaper than other resorts say in Nusa Dua.
