Plane: Took 30 minutes To Praya from Bali. You have to be at the airport one hour before.From the new airport to Bangsal ( the main harbor ) to take a public boat is 2 hours ( cost you 300 thousand ) unless you take public bus .You have to wait till the boat is full and go unless you are paying for chartered boat. The hassles at the new airport is insane.Total travel time is 0ver 4 hrs.
Fast Boat. You will get pick up around 6:30 ish am from your hotel, let's say Legian. Go to Padang Bai ( 1 hour 30 mts ). Padang Bai to Gili 1 hour 40 mts. Total travel time is just over 3 hrs and faster and cheaper.
