Before I left Australia, I rang the Optus Call Centre who managed to unlock my iPhone for free. I had to use my PC and iTunes software.
As you are already in Bali, you could ask a local to unlock your iPhone for a fee.
There is a fellow close to the corner of Jalan Patimura and Jalan Legian who has a business unlocking mobile phones.
