Heres some lunchtime tips, I keep it simple at lunch so you'll see most of my tips are sandwich oriented.
Gourmet Deli up the top of Jl Petinguet, Seminyak offers some excellent take away or eat in options. Think of it as a gourmet charcoal chickens, great salads, buy a whole chook for 68k, bread rolls, coleslaw and you can feed a family of 5 easily for about 100k (thats take away). Eating in, I recommend the cheese burger which comes with chips and salad for 70k, add a coke and your looking at 85k. The burger itself, for me, is the best in Bali hands down.
Corner Cafe, on corner of JL Oberie has awesome baguettes n Sandwiches and good coffee. I think baguettes are around 40k.
Lacalaca for tacos, Almost opposite Corner cafe but on Jl Drupadi. I go the fish tacos, 3 plumply filled soft tacos and a bintang will cost you 100k and you wont need another thing to eat until dinner.
In Legian, for an awesome sandwich go to Swich on Jl Wakadera (I hope thats the name of the small rd) which is the last left turn off Jl Double 6 before the beach. Its about 100m up Jl Wakadera and they do a range of awesome Sandwiches, rolls, chips, milkshakes and smoothies. A BLT and a shake is about 65k
Biku for lunch or dinner is a total joy. Comfort food to the max but Indo style. Its on Jl Petinguet, Seminyak, up near or opposite potato head. They do the wickedest deserts and everything else on the menu is absolutely sensational. I cant speak highly enough of Biku, the ingredients and flavours are so good its got to be a must eat on your list. I regard their Nasi Campur (Fried this and that) as the finest in Bali. They really take it to another level. Its a really rustic joint, they also do high tea and have loads of knick knacks to look at and buy. Seriously go there.
Oh one more thing, its really hard to find a chai latte in Bali, My wife drinks them by the bucket ! Most cafes did them last year but for some reason barely any do them now. But Cafe Petinguet on Jl Petinguet, Seminyak does them and does them well. So if your looking for a milky chai tea with froth on top go there.
