We had dinner at Sardine last nite. Its a pretty nice place, beautiful rice paddy setting, nice bamboo interior. The food was delicious, well presented, mostly fish oriented and the service is class A silver service. The wait staff are extremely friendly and well mannered. The off points are the Matre D, which there seems to be 3 of but slightly differently ranked from Head Matre D, TIC and Sergeant at arms ! walks around "overseeing" the goings on, Head Matre D stands over our table and asked us a couple of times if everything was ok and expecting some kind of conversation. The tables were very close together making the experience not very intimate. You are close enough to the next table to hear perfectly the whole conversations of your neighbours. 2 of us paid 1 000 000 rp for a couple of red wines, cocktail, entres & mains The food was very good, atmosphere nice but for the price prefer a bit of intimacy and can call for a waiter myself if theres a problem.
