only thing about ATM's over there once you have taken cash out don't think transaction is over you have to tell it that you have finished.

Visa Debit cards work everywhere so do C/Cards and you are then protected a little under the visa banner.

protect your pin number and avoid using ATM's in Circle K stores (no cameras) kuta legain these store are watched by the scammers.

ask your bank what the fees are to withdraw cash and purchase charges some are bloody high. You may want to take cash and only use visa if you have to.

Cash i only use Kodak shops or proper exchange outlets(you will see them they look like little banks). there are many shops that offer to exchange at a higher rate beware their hands are faster than the eye. you are the last one to count the money.

Airport exchange are ok but rate is much lower as is here in Australia.

If you have transfers from airport you don't need cash till you hit the streets after check in to your hotel. If paying for your Visa on arrival you will get change in Rph's so you will have a bit of cash then to get a drink etc.

exchange rate on weekends are lower not much.

with taking cash put some in your pocket some in your bag or wallet just in case you lose it. I never have had a problem in 20+ years taking large amounts of cash over there but just lock it up when you get to your hotel and only exchange a few days worth at a time. You can exchange money 24/7 there.

have fun and play safe..
