On our last 2 trips we have stayed at Melasti Beach Resort at Legian and have nothing but praise for it. As there is only 2 of us, we stayed both times in deluxe rooms. They are spacious and everything and much more than what you expect for the price. We got the deluxe room for well under $A100 per night. We have also viewed the suites for when we bring our family over next time and they are perfect for your requirements. I know that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I have never had any difficulties here.
On our last trip, my nephew blew the lights in the room and blocked up the loo (dont ask) and both problems were dealt with quickly and with humour. We previously stayed at Jayakarta and MBR is where we will continue to return to in the future.
