If you do not have an International Driving Permit you will likely be stopped at some stage and a contribution will be required.
Also not having an IDP will affect any insurance issues that may arise.
Your IDP will only cover the classes that you have on your home licence, so no motor cycle endorsement on home licence = no MC endorsement on your IDP.
It's either take the risk or get the permit.
I believe that there are some provisions to take a "local test" in Denpasar, but this would be something of a mission I think.
