I have been going to Amed regularly for the past four years and understand how hard it is for the locals to get an income either from driving or farming.
To help this situation I ask a driver from Amed to collect me from my hotel in Legian to drive me to Amed. It is approx a three hour, very pleasant journey. They are very happy to stop along the way.

I also use them for the return journey as well as a day trip to Tirtta gangga/Amlapura market. Kings Palace etc. If you use them tell them Ibu Janet sent you.
