there have been people living like this for years,it is just that they are out of sight so out of mind.Remember many years ago the squatters living across the road from Dynasty had a huge fight and a man was killed.Also across from Dynasty there is a village and a cemetry but all out of sight of tourists.
If you stay at Matahari Bungalows on Jln Legian take the time to walk right out the back and up to the village that runs right behind.Another life altogether.
