section but Gluten free snacks you have a lot of trouble, no gluten free biscuits etc. Even the imported rice crackers have gluten. But what I have found is the local snacks do have more choice, you need to know what the word for wheat flour is and check the labels. I find I can snack on the nuts and some of the weird and wonderful Indonesian snacks.

I think I have seen Beef Jerky, it was an American brand but it had gluten in it. Maybe bring some, you can bring food in easily, I get family to bring a whole suitcase of stuff in.

There is not one bread on this Island that is 100% gluten free unless your son likes to eat concrete, Bali Buddah do a rock hard version that needs a chain saw. I have spoken to the French Baker at Carrefour and his Rye's do contain wheat. I've been to many Bakers and they've tried to make me gluten free and were too embarrassed to sell it to me, they can't get it right. The gluten free bread mix at Carefour is 58,000IDR so that's 58,000IDR for one loaf of bread!! I miss bread.....

I've heard there is a Baker up in Seminyak that has managed it, and sells it at a Cafe, maybe someone on here knows, but I can't drive all that way for a loaf of bread.

Wheat flour is Tepung Terigu, Tepung is flour so if you see Tepung Beras, that's rice flour.
