I am not sure if this will be of much use to you but here goes I spotted the Best Western on my last year's trip to Bali I thought it was in a great position near the beach at the end of Benesari Street come out of the hotel and turn right and you are almost on the beach turn left and you can just meander around to Legian St there are a few very cheap eating places nearby , it is also an easy walk to Melasti St or go the other way to Kuta Square .
The hotel is very new and quite western in appearance what I saw I liked although I have not been inside any of the rooms Hope this is of some help .
