Well, my JBR seems to have disappeared. Probably because I mentioned the sim cards. Never mind, it wasn't that big and exciting anyway.
However, I can't believe that I forgot to mention the Devdan show in Nusa Dua. This is an absolute MUST. We loved it. There is very little promotion around the hotels. Our hotel had no idea what we were talking about. Eventually we got out local friend to ring and find out about booking tickets.
End result? Don't bother booking, just turn up at the box office. There were possibly 100 people in a theatre built for 1000. The show starts at 7pm, and goes non-stop until 8.30. It's a demonstration of local culture from 6 different regions (Java, Sumatra, Guinea, Bali, Flores and one more I can't remember). It's absolutely wonderful.
The girls in our group all agreed that even if we'd paid double the price, we still would have been well pleased. Take the cheaper seats as it doesn't matter where you sit; the view is as good from anywhere in the theatre. Make sure you check the little TV screen on the wall to the left of the stage: it tells you which region you're watching.
