It has been a while since pt 1. Internet is patchy in places. We are now at Melanting Cottages in Munduk. Very nice place but if you can't do steps don't stay here. You are located on the side of a mountain. Reception at top near road rooms on the way down and resturant is located further down. You work off you meal getting back to the rooms. Apart from that the place is lovely and clean.
We stayed at Amed for 3 days just chilling as we had been there before and visited the sights. Had meals at Life in Amed, Sails, The Grill and Warung Shanti. All we good.
We left Amed and travelled on to Lovina. Road was good you just got stuck behind the ocassional truck. We arrived at our accom Starlight Villas, which were nice with a good pool. The weather was overcast while we were there and we has rain one night.
One day while here we decided to go the the hot springs at Banjar. We used the GPS to get there but what a night mare. It took us up into the mountains where the roads got steeper and more potholed the further we went. In the end we did not find the hotsprings and just returned to our hotel.
On the day we left Lovina we decided to try for the hotsprings again this time using the map. It was easy to find and we spent some time there before heading to Munduk.
If you decide to drive yourself to Munduk from the coast up to Bedugul make sure you have a good car. The road just climbs all of the time and we had trouble even making some of the steep bends in 1st gear. It is not a relaxing drive at all.
Heading off to Ubud tomorrow. We have walked to the waterfall here at Munduk. was only a 15 min walk from our hotel and easy.
