I drove past, in a cab, very slowly on my way to town, about 20 minutes after the quakes. There were hundreds of people outside, many devastated, and afraid. There was also many Balinese, and probably tourists with blood all over them. This may have been from the crumbling "facade" or "decor" as you say. IT was still a bad place to be during a QUAKE.
That Carrefore are a huge worldwide chain or not...does not matter to ME. The quake was decent and it created damage all over the place. Carrefore was the worst I saw, and that is simply that. If you want to go shopping at Carrefore, go, never been my intention to "scare monger". Just hope a bit of facade doesn't fall on your head!!
