My friends got those prices for October going Garuda from Sydney when they booked a few months back. The sale didn't last long and was only for stays of less than 2 weeks.
I did find fares in March next hear for $623 return from Melbourne when I had a look. That's probably the best price going right now. Could be a different story tomorrow though - could be the same, or half that price or even double. Fares seem to change almost daily.
