Over the years we have given money to people, particularly after the bombing. We have NEVER given one cent to people who asked for it.
Ask yourself how well do you really know this girl?
If you are still totally comfortable with it, go ahead.
Why not tell her it's a loan, and you expect to be paid back?
That may put a different spin on it, at least in her mind.
