They also have the language skills to put up a continual barrage of "please can you help me", with a return rate of perhaps 1 in 10, depending on the generosity (or gullibility?) of the respective targets.
All in all, and compared to the masses they do OK.
Of course it's your cash to do with as you please, but perhaps best you do so eyes at least partly open.
I hope the sickness that your friend is suffering eases soon.
However, one wonders if the cash you are proposing to give is to make her feel better or you?
