Be aware that if you exceed Australia's duty-free concession limits you will be charged duty and tax on all items of that type (general goods, alcohol or tobacco), not just the items which exceed the limits.
In my husbands case, he was 500ml over his alcohol allowance & was charged duty & tax on ALL of it. 2 bottles of spirits & the offending bottle of french wine cost him $70 to leave with it all or surrender the lot.
