We booked our flights on Jan 29 for October this year (2nd-31st).
At that stage, Jetstar and Air Asia were not options as they had not yet released fares for the dates we wanted to come home. Pretty sure they were only available till around mid-October. So that's only 9 months ahead.
Virgin and Garuda had fares available at that time.
