Just returned travelling with Garuda.
They are getting serious about carry on bag weight of 7kg, but you can still take on additional handbag, computer, camera etc that are not counted as carry on.
Economy bag check in baggage is 20kg but they allow you 23kg but we have gotten away with 25kg and they haven't said anything.
