... a few weeks ago, on the by-pass just before Sanur. The officer who stopped him sent him to a table set up by the side of the road. The officer at the table wanted to give my son a ticket for Rp 1 million!! which he would have to pay at police headquarters in Denpasar.
We finally negotiated a cash payment of Rp250.000 and no amount of pleading on my part (in Indonesian), could reduce it further.
