As someone else mentioned, sounds like another Urban myth. On the other hand, the latest issue of Kuta Weekly has a story about HIV in Bali. One in four prostitutes in Kuta has HIV. They continue to work even when diagnosed and sick, most have little choice. They mentioned the many Aussies that use these girls, and drunken clients often refuse to use condoms. Considering there is a great deal of evidence that it is highly unlikely you can contract HIV from tattooing, I think you may be able to deduce for yourself where the spread is originating....
