We did it 6 weeks ago. Can only do it in Sydney if you are flying Garuda. Next to the Garuda luggage check in is the Visa on arrival desk (opposite end to where you enter luggage check in) You pay your money (at the time it was $24, no coins) and they give you a form that you put with you passport. A person will come around the plane to stamp your passport. Too easy. Have fun
