When I last posted I wasn't sure of the outcome of the laptop incident. On Friday I spoke to the manager and he said the polisi said that the older woman had hidden the small laptop in the other woman's's luggage she wanted paperwork to make a claim for insurance. Thought she would have been charged but They checked out about 5 days early, not sure whether they were ashamed or as someone suggested perhaps they were told to leave Bali.
We went on submarine on Friday it was interesting. You have to take your shoes off, I asked if you could wear dive shoes (think that is what they are called) but just got a blank look, mine are at home anyway. We were disappointed that we didn't see more varieties of fish, there was only about 6 types. There wasn't much coral. The kids on board really loved it but some of the younger ones got tired and were crying, think our grandchildren would have been very fidgety by the end. We saw divers on sea bed and a diver that goes around the sub. An Indonesian woman said to me we were supposed to be 45 minutes and it was only 40 mins. There was plenty of food at the buffet, I was tempted to have the bbq prawns but chickened out. They were freshly cooked. Only short ride back to our resort and then in the pool.
We went to the Pondok Bambu for dinner, they picked us up eventually. My phone wouldn't work. Reception rang them and they (presumably) hung up on them. Rang again and was told car was on way, ages later a car pulled in and reception said this will be your car, so we hopped in and he said room 18 and I said yes not listening properly we were room 8. Got down to main road and he had a phone call to say room 18 guests were waiting at resort. So went back with me apologising. Eventually our car arrived, we were about to go to one of the warungs outside resort. Anyway we had a lovely meal and nice surroundings there was only one other couple there, it is quite a big restaurant. I commented that they weren't busy and was told they probably wouldn't be until August and then they would be full.
Saturday morning had our last lovely brekky at Abalone picked up our laundry from Nyoman's said goodbye to staff and guests and our driver arrived to bring us to Sanur. I'll do another HNR in a couple of days.
