Initially panadol for fever and "bone pain". Also monitoring of blood levels because if bleeding occurs transfusion my be needed. This disease can be hemorrhagic or more usually not but must be treated with the utmost respect!
I am not a medic and this is my opinion. The best info I found at he time was on the Queensland Health and the Singapore Health websites. After the event I found that the "Travel Doctor" in Perth really knew his stuff, as he would I suppose being more educated in tropical medicine.
