I once ordered custom motorcycle leather gloves from a shop near Bemo Corner in Kuta. I explained in great detail in Indonesian that I wanted them to be made gauntlet style out of thick leather. They traced my hands onto paper.
The gloves cost me about Rp 200,000 and were a great disappointment, as they made dress gloves out of thin leather.
Since then,I have never ordered gloves again. I think the concept of motorcycle leather gloves is too foreign for them. They can only imagine dress gloves.
