They have only said there is not going to be any more duty free cigarettes which means you will have to pay duty on any that you bring in after this change of law comes in...so eg cigarettes in bali are approx $1.20 a packet..the duty payable on each cigarette is approx 30cents..so a packet of 20 will cost you approx $8 including the purchase of the cigarettes and you can bring in as many as you like so still 1/2 price to Australia.
