Morning after Bali Beach Shack and Paddy's ....

Now waking up with a hangover is never pleasant, but the thought of missing breakfast had us up and searching through carrefour bags for panadol. The gods of the kitchen were smiling on me - they had bacon today. How i love this crispy jerky like bacon. Due to hangover beach walk is out, but lounging around having a read seems to be acceptable to my head whilst the panadol kicks in.

Fully recovered we head out for some market shopping, money changing and venture to Potato Head in Seminyak for a late lunch and swim. I had heard many mixed reviews on this place but we wanted to suss it out. We actually liked it and though the drinks were pricey, this didn't effect us as i wasn't drinking after last night - bar iced coffee and water!
We had a tuna pasta dish that my friend very much enjoyed and i had Mediterranean vegetables in flat bread that was divine. The infinity pool and spa was lovely and we tried our best at taking a few ‘ we are so important' pics complete with head flicks overlooking the ocean. Yes we decided, we could live like this. Oh a we did note upon arrival there is a sign stating no t shirts with alcohol advertising. Thank god i didn't have my binny tank top on haha. It wouldn't have worked with our new found pompousness .

Back home for a nanna nap and to wait for our friends to let us know where dinner was. Unfortunately 2 of our mates have a bingle on a scooter and though they weren't seriously injured, they had some impressive war wounds so they had a quiet night and we headed off to Kuta square for some shopping. Got some nice tops in Mataharis and a few dvds up the street.
Despite our feeling all posh and self important earlier in the day we opted for Maccas for dinner. Can i justify this by adding we live in a country town that has no golden arches? well that is my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Back to the hotel for an early night and promises of that morning beach walk.

After a great night's sleep, breakfast ( no jerky bacon sob ) we do an hour long walk along the beach. the mornings are good for not getting hassled by the hawkers and it is much cooler. Off to Nusa dua for some snorkelling and diving. In all my previous trips i have never been there, so it was nice to do something different.

We had lunch and though the name eludes me,it was great. Drove back to the hotel and once again went out to grab some goodies that the folks back home had requested.

Tonight we watched a game of footy at spiders bar ( Freo and Carlton) There is always something so special about seeing the Docker Shockers get beaten, but with Bintangs and strawberry daiquiris it is all that sweeter! Cruised off to Legends for a snack and a sing consuming more shooters, binnies and such. Going back to the hotel we had a bright idea to infiltrate the swimming pool though the sign said it closed at 9pm.
We were stealth.
And I'm sure none of the guests heard us giggling like schoolgirls while we had a crack at synchronised swimming. There is a lot to say about underwater cameras, they sure do capture everything, perhaps those magnums weren't such a good idea...

Staggering and laughing lots, we found our way to our room to hit the sack......
