The whole family (11 of us) were excited about all of us getting to Bali for our 30th anniversary, so they couldn't get the suitcases in the bus quick enough to get going to Perth airport for the 4.50am flight out. The waiting for 3 weeks in paradise from 8th - 27th April was over.
Quick flight and the locals were still wiping the sleep out of their eyes when we arrived. Through VOA, immigration, luggage and at the hotel by 9:15am, brilliant.
Stayed at our favourite hotel in Legian St, Matahari Bungalows and with only 20% occupancy, our rooms were all ready. MB is a budget hotel in a great location, with great staff who couldn't do enough for us all. They are renovating the rooms at present and the end result is a modern, fresh, bright room with wall mounted flat screen tv's. The was basin area is revamped & the bathroom is much better with a glass screen keeping water in the bath & the old slippery tiles replaced with new, slightly grittier non slip tiles and a new toilet. Since Nov 2011, they have also included the usual assortment of egg meals, bacon, ham and fresh made nei & nasi goreng for breakfast.
