Day 2
Breakfast was nice, the usual egg station, chicken sausages, noodles, fruit, pastries and cereal. Nice location over looking the beach, watching some surfers get wiped out and listening to the waves.
Headed out to grab some clothes as we only brought a few with us and to be quite honest we knew we might have to go up a size because of the impending food, drinks and $1 magnum ice-creams we would be consuming. Ahh $1 magnums.... but alas i digress.
Off to carrefour to stock up on supplies for home. This shop is why i paid to upgrade to 40kgs in luggage lol. We got a great deal on Olay products - a jar of the total effects plus foaming cleanser for only 9990 rupiah. Back home the 50gm of total effects is $30 odd dollars so i was chuffed. Also got a few tubes olay regenerist for about the same price, nivea moisturiser and cleanser and toner. Soaps, tooth brushes, heaps of lollies, Mr P's peanuts in honey and chilli flavour - these help to stave off the Bali blues when home. Incense, toothpaste and brushes, vanilla beans,Band-Aids,tiger balm, panadol red and first aid products, from both the supermarket and the chemist opposite. I was eyeing off the huge boxes of Mie goreng but seeing the look on my friends face i realised i was out of control!
Time to go before i have to get excess luggage and dear friend abandons me.
Back to Indo for the garlic mud crab we were drooling over on the first day. We got a 'i am impressed nod' from the lad opposite us, but it could of been a ' you girls are dreaming' nod too. We didn't care,we were waving our crab crackers round like numchucks!
I had to laugh when the people on one side of us moved tables due to the crab juice flying around when cracking these babies open. And a young girl on the other side of us was freaking out the crabs in the ocean were going to be that big. I considered playing this up, but her mum gave me the eye.
It was so yummy and a meal i would happily have again. And i seriously think we looked Hot with the bibs they made us wear, but it might have also been because the weather was humid...
All that elbow work with the mud crabs tires us out enormously so we went back to the hotel for another paddle round the pool on the thongs and to hopefully rid us of the garlic that has infused our hands, despite washing.
We all met up at Bali beach shack for dinner and the Drag show. We went here last year and was introduced to 'the Pink Pussy'cocktail by Robby the owner. I have to confess i have replicated / stolen this idea with our last lot of duty free alcohol and in addition came up with more obscene named cocktails with other lollies.
But in payment for our thievery we took the 15 packs of musk sticks as penance lol . Joy of joys, this time they have carafes' of these drinks and redskin cocktails too!
Hang ova come at me.
Had another great nite full of laughs and watching blokes get dragged up ( no pun intended) on stage. The meal was also awesome, i had seafood and one of the men from our group had the seafood mornay and said it was the best meal he had eaten.
Off to Paddys night club for the snow/foam party. I was a bit hesitant to go before dinner but all the cocktails we drank lent me a knew bravado. It was on my mates bucket list and considering she put up with me at Carrefour i was indebted to her, and i might need her luggage space:)
It was actually quite fun, we got absolutely soaked, busted out some dance moves that would of shamed my miss 17 and probably me had i been sober lol. We rolled out at 3.00am with ringing ears and tired bodies and went to the hotel to sleep, planning on a morning walk along the beach.......
