Travelan is a natural substance and made from bovine colostrum. If a tablet is not recommended for children under a certain age, it usually means that no one has volunteered their children to test it. I have spoken with the makers of Travelan a couple of times and the scientists have been quite forthcoming and helpful. I would phone and ask them if your young child can take it. Our children have taken it since they were five and thank God never been sick. We use Travelan and a probiotic.
