Definately wait to get to Bali to buy the adaptor.
We may be a bit anal, but we also take over one of those plug-in mozzie zapper thingies (technical term). We put it on when we go out for dinner so that our room is mozzie free on return. We have used the same one for the last 2 trips and it is great.
A little off the subject:
We also take over copies of our passports so that if for some reason they go missing, we have proof of citizenship. Also email a copy to your email. It can also be easily be reviewed.
