at this Villa unfortunatey was not a good one, however all the reviews I have seen on trip advisor have been good!
They stayed last year in May (1st trip to bali) I went and visited them at the villa. It was a nice villa, had a big pool, however was very open and there was no way you could close it up. The living room opened onto the pool and was seperated by bamboo blinds and then you could get access to any of the bedrooms etc as there were no locking doors seperating the areas. The villa was down a long rocky alley where there was construction going on, taxis found it hard to find and you definitely wouldnt want to walk down here at night time. Getting a taxi is ok - if the reception call it for you. The communication barrier was huge, there was never anyone that really understood what you wanted. A can of lemonade when i was there took three calls and forty five minutes. Getting a taxi was the same. Now for the real nasty bit. on there second morning they had the cleaners in and my friedns were outside by the pool, anyway once they had finished and left my friends got ready to go shopping. This is when they discovered $1000 AUD missing from the SAFE and $50AUD from my friends handbag which was hanging on the bedroom door handle. Being newbies they wanted to come straight back to Oz, but went to reception to speak to 'management' They explained the situation and were told that the cleaners would be asked -obviously they said they knew nothing. My friends requested a refund for accommodation so that they could go stay somewhere else as they felt so uncomfortable with the whole situation. Management refused and instead gave them a padlock to put on the villa door. It meant they could not have the cleaners in the room unless they were there to unlock and supervise. They chose to clean the room themselves the whole trip. This experience has made them not want to return to bali - which is sad for me as I am a regular visitor. I hope that your experiences are much much better than this.
