Hi
We were at the Besakih last month. We also stayed in room 278 which is a standard rennovated room. When we booked we asked for a rennovated room. We were more than happy with the room and it was evident that it had been rennovated recently. Loved the hotel and the area. Other people staying there at the same time had paid more to get a superior room in the hotel block and were not happy because their rooms had not been rennovated in a long time. In this case I think you actually get more for the cheaper rooms! Everything was very clean.

Only negatives were that the shower curtain could do with replacing (bit stained) and the towels were very old and a bit grey looking (but definitely clean). The positives for us definitely outweighed the couple of small negatives though.
