We have just returned from Besakih.
We paid for the standard rooms, request a RENOVATED room!
These are the stand alone rooms, closer to the road. They are double story, so a room on top or below you. We were on ground level room 278 and it was great.
I did not like the rooms closer to the beach in the hotel block. Given one of these initially and asked to be moved. It was damp and smelly. Other people will disagree with this comment and each to their own. I would be very disappointed if someone recommended one of those rooms to me.
We enjoyed our stay here and will return in September. It is budget but very good value.
