Well said Hillary....similar experience for me and because I have "helped" (just teaching English_not money) to a couple of little beach kids whose mum and dad are from Sumatra and work on pantai, and occasionally bring a pizza for all to share, most of the Sumatran anak pantai from Jl Melasti to Poppies 2, would and do , anything for me..transport if it suddenly looks like a storm anywhere I want to go (gratis) to looking out for me on pantai..oh and btw..my son-in-law is Javanese from Malang and my daughter and he live in Melbourne and he and his Javanese family treat me with more respect for me than some of my own here!!
