Most places along the 10km or so strip have pools and if you select one on the seaward side you will have direct access to a stony beach (except in one small area where some decent sand looks like it has been imported)
Snorkelling is generally good all along this stretch, and the small outriggers will take you to the "coral garden" for a small fee.
