We're from Perth too (busselton), we flew virgin only cause of the specials & it suited us with arrival/departure times, was fine though but would prob try Garuda next time, more leg room, food & entertainment to keep the little ones amused although it's only 3 hrs, similar to our drive to Perth.
We booked direct with hotel which I think you have to to go all inclusive, don't have to pay until arrival but do think from memory that we had to give them credit card details.
We paid in Usd when we arrived otherwise they convert it into rupiah then into Aud so better rate that way.
